The German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) participated in another meeting of the informal shipping group in the North Sea on the 10th of March 2022. The participants of this group were from Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
During this meeting, the current (draft) maritime spatial plans in the respective countries were discussed. The focus was on shipping routes and offshore wind farms. Furthermore, the results of studies, dealing with shipping, were presented and discussed. The group also exchanged their experiences about occurrences during the storms in the last weeks and about Emergency Response Towing Vessels. The next meeting of this group is planned for June 2022.
