The German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) held a meeting with environmental organisations on the 7th of July 2020 as part of the informal stakeholder participation in the revision process of the maritime spatial plans.
Thirteen participants from BUND, BSH, DUH, NABU and WWF Germany discussed the current planning status. There was a comprehensive exchange on the latest version of the draft plan. Topics were the concerns of nature conservation regarding the designations on (economic) uses in the EEZ, such as shipping, offshore wind energy, resource extraction and fishing.
