On the 30th of June 2020, the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) organised the 8th meeting of the Scientific Advisory Board for the revision of the maritime spatial plans for the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). Due to the current situation the meeting was conducted as an online-meeting. It was attended by the Advisory Board members from the University of Hamburg, the Technical University of Berlin, the Leibniz Institut für ökologische Raumentwicklung (ecological spatial development) and the Institut für Küstenforschung des Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht (coastal research). The subject of the discussion with the members from BSH’s Spatial Planning Unit (O1) were the spatial and textual regulations of the current draft MSP.
