The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) has published a concept for the monitoring and evaluation of the Maritime Spatial Plan for the exclusive economic zones (EEZs) in the German North Sea and Baltic Sea from the year 2021, on its website.
The concept was developed in collaboration with the Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building (BMWSB) and forms the basis for this year’s evaluation of the Maritime Spatial Plan.
The concept sets out the general principles for monitoring and evaluation, and the specific process for evaluating the planning provisions of the plan as well as the impacts of its implementation on the marine environment.
