The BSH, in collaboration with the occupational safety and health authorities of the coastal federal states within a working group, has finalised a draft of a joint standard on offshore rescue.
The subject of the joint standard is the provision of emergency medical care and the immediate rescue services of persons in the German exclusive economic zone of the North Sea and Baltic Sea who are engaged in the construction, operation and decommissioning of installations within the meaning of the Offshore Wind Energy Act.
The aim is to standardise key aspects in order to improve market availability and reliability, thereby enabling more accurate cost calculations.
This draft is now being put out for consultation with experts in the field and the relevant industry representatives, in particular trade associations. Experts in the field and the relevant industry representatives are invited to comment on the draft.
The draft of the joint standard and further information on the consultation can be found here.
