TIMELINES – New harmonized database with information on the planning, development, and operation of offshore wind farms in the North Sea

As part of the collaboration in Support Group SG2 of the North Seas Energy Cooperation (NSEC), a joint database was created to provide a vision for the development of offshore wind energy. The TIMELINES database was presented for the first time on November 6 at the NSEC Energy Ministers’ Meeting in Ostend. The database provides uniformly categorized information on wind farm areas from the member countries in the planning, development, operation, and decommissioning phases. The data can be viewed and downloaded in a web GIS for individual use.
