On 10 June, representatives from the maritime spatial planning ministries and authorities of countries around the greater North Seas Region attended an online meeting of the North Seas MSP Collaboration Group.
The North Seas MSP Collaboration Group has been meeting regularly—three to four times per year—since 2019 and plays a key role in fostering cross-border cooperation, as well as the exchange of information and good practices. The group includes participants from Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, the Netherlands, and the North Sea Commission.
This meeting focused on sharing recent developments, such as the EU Ocean Pact, and on finalising the work plan for 2025–2027. The group also discussed ways to engage more closely with other working groups and initiatives.
The next meeting is planned for autumn 2025.
