On 20 January 2025, the European Commission called on stakeholders, experts
and citizens to submit evidence to the development of the European Ocean
Pact by 17 February 2025. This is a political initiative to promote
sustainable ocean management and ensure the health, resilience and
productivity of the oceans. The Ocean Pact is to be submitted by the 3rd UN
Ocean Conference in June 2025.
