The Dogger Bank South (DBS) offshore wind farm project is planning the construction of two offshore wind farms, each with a capacity of 1.5 GW (3 GW in total), and the associated transmission infrastructure. Up to 300 wind turbines (150 per wind farm) are to be erected. The project area is located more than 100 km off the coast on the Dogger Bank in the southern North Sea. The nearest landing point in the UK is Flamborough Head. The area of the DBS West site is 495 km2 and the DBS East site is 494 km2. Construction of the proposed project is not expected to commence until 2026 at the earliest. Information on the planned project can be found from 20 September 2024 to 2 October 2024 on the BSH website.
