transboundary participation according to Section 63 para. 1 Environmental Impact Assessment Act on the transboundary environmental impact assessment regarding the environmental report for the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the plan for the offshore wind farms at the site ‘Nordsøen I’, located in the North Sea

The Danish Ministry of Environment has drawn up a plan for the construction of offshore wind farms in an area in the North Sea in order to implement the political agreements for significantly greater energy production from wind energy before the end of 2030. The plan covers both offshore and onshore installations. The Nordsøen I planning area is expected to be located approx. 20-79 km off the coast of West Jutland. The contractors, i.e. the concession holders, will be appointed following a call for tenders issued by the Danish Energy Agency. Nordsøen I has a planning area consisting of two sub-areas (sub-areas 1 and 2), with several offshore wind farms planned for each sub-area. For sub-area 1, there is the possibility of a grid connection to the Endrup station and the Idomlund station. It is expected that an onshore grid connection will be possible for sub-area 2.

First phase

Construction of 3.000 MW Onshore and up to 10.467 MW of offshore wind energy with the possibility of dividing sub-area 1 into several offshore wind farms. There is the possibility of a grid connection of 2000 MW at the Endrup station and 1000 MW at the Idomlund station.

Second phase

Construction of 2.000 MW Onshore andup to 6.978 MW of offshore wind energy with the possibility of dividing sub-area 2 into several offshore wind farms. The possibility of a grid connection of 2,000 MW on land is expected. In this case, the exact location of the station still needs to be clarified.
