The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) has made available on its website shape-files for the annex to the report “Weiterentwicklung der Rahmenbedingungen zur Planung von Windenergieanlagen auf See und Netzanbindungssysteme” (Further development of the framework conditions for planning offshore wind turbines and grid connection systems) by the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems (Fraunhofer IWES), which was published on 9 May 2023. The shape-files contain the areas for offshore wind energy N-23, N-24 and N-25 on which the modelling is based. A determination of these areas and associated sites as well as the expected generation capacity by the site development plan (Flächenentwicklungsplan – FEP) is pending.
