Transboundary participation according to Section 59 para. 1 Environmental Impact Assessment Act on the transboundary environmental impact assessment regarding the application by Five Estuaries Offshore Wind Farm Ltd (the Applicant) for an Order Granting Development Consent for the Five Estuaries Offshore Wind in the British Exclusiv Zone of the east coast of England

The UK Government has notified Germany that Five Estuaries has submitted an application for development consent for the “Five Estuaries Offshore Wind Farm” off the east coast of England, approximately 37 km off the coast of Suffolk in the UK Exclusive Economic Zone. Five Estuaries is the planned £1.5 billion expansion of the existing 353 MW Galloper offshore wind farm in the southern North Sea. The Five Estuaries project will include a number of wind turbines as well as onshore and offshore electrical infrastructure. The grid connection for this project is to be connected to the proposed East Anglia Green substation in the county of Tendring, Essex. The proposed project is an offshore wind farm with up to 79 wind turbine generators, including offshore cable and substation platforms and onshore cable and substation. The offshore components are located off the east coast of England, approximately 37 km off the coast of Suffolk.
